The Senior Aquatic Scientist will lead a team of biologists to support current and future clients in the design and implementation of water quality baseline studies, impact assessments, and long-term monitoring projects. Work will include client liaison, proposal development, project planning, implementation, and delivery including data collection, entry, analysis, and reporting with the expectation to contribute to peer‑reviewed publications and/or presentations at relevant scientific conferences. This individual will be knowledgeable and experienced with water chemistry analysis, the application of ecological principles, and practices to protect and manage water quality under federal and provincial regulatory frameworks in Canada. The principal function of the position is to provide safe drinking water by proper operation and maintenance of the water distribution system. The Operator is accountable to the Water Distribution Superintendent and receives daily direction and instructions from the Water Distribution System Lead Hand.
