The Water Operator will be responsible for day-to-day operation and maintenance of the Town’s Class III water supply and distribution system.

Develop and implement procedures, processes and polices for the administration of the Wastewater and Stormwater Quality Management Systems; provide training to staff on the same Identify efficiencies and lead continuous improvement initiatives within a team dynamic Ensure adherence of City Utilities activities to the Safe Drinking Water Act, Environmental Protection Act, Clean Water Act, Environmental Compliance Approvals, and other relevant legislation, integrated environmental policies/procedures/programs and strategic business planning for water, wastewater and stormwater

The Senior Aquatic Scientist will lead a team of biologists to support current and future clients in the design and implementation of water quality baseline studies, impact assessments, and long-term monitoring projects. Work will include client liaison, proposal development, project planning, implementation, and delivery including data collection, entry, analysis, and reporting with the expectation to contribute to peer‑reviewed publications and/or presentations at relevant scientific conferences. This individual will be knowledgeable and experienced with water chemistry analysis, the application of ecological principles, and practices to protect and manage water quality under federal and provincial regulatory frameworks in Canada.
