This position will provide professional hydrogeological support, project management, technical expertise and guidance in advancing program recommendations of the City’s Water Supply Master Plan, Source Water Protection and Environmental Monitoring programs, achieving the mandate of Guelph Water Services

Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems are critical to the safe and accurate operation of the Region of Durham's Water and Wastewater Infrastructure. Reporting to the SCADA Manager, the successful candidate will be primarily responsible for managing day-to-day SCADA operations and maintenance staff, as well as administering, coordinating, evaluating, and developing effective work plans to manage and maintain existing Region of Durham SCADA systems.

Reporting to the Supervisor of Construction, the Construction Inspector/Operator is responsible for the inspection of City Capital Construction projects as well as Development projects as required. The Construction Inspector /Operator will work closely with the Project Coordinator assigned to each Capital Construction Project.

The successful candidate will use their background to perform repairs, maintenance and calibrations at the Water Resource Recovery Centre and Sewage Pumping Stations.

The City of Owen Sound is seeking motivated individuals to fill a Water Distribution Operator role. The principal function of the position is to provide safe drinking water by proper operation and maintenance of the water distribution system. The Operator is accountable to the Water Distribution Superintendent and receives daily direction and instructions from the Water Distribution System Lead Hand.
