The City of Dryden is seeking a dedicated and experienced Waterworks Manager to oversee the operation of our water and wastewater treatment plants, as well as our distribution and collection systems, ensuring safe, sustainable, and efficient water services for our community. Under the direction of the Director of Public Works, the Waterworks Manager is responsible for the overall operation, maintenance and administration of municipal water treatment, distribution and wastewater collections systems. This role ensures regulatory compliance with Ontario’s water and environmental standards and supervises a team of technical staff to deliver reliable and safe water services to the community. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing operational plans, budgets, and capital projects to support infrastructure upgrades and system improvements, ensures compliance with Ontario’s drinking water and environmental regulations and works closely with government agencies, generates and completes all mandatory reporting required by government agencies, prepares reports, analyses and performance metrics for council and regulatory bodies, coordinates emergency response for incidents impacting water quality, availability or wastewater management and engages with the public and addresses concerns regarding water quality and service delivery.
