November 4-19, 2021

The Government of Ontario, in partnership with Global Affairs Canada, is organizing the Ontario Water and Wastewater Virtual Mission to Peru 2021, on the margins of the virtual edition of the Expo Agua and Sustainability 2021 trade show – Peru’s largest industry event focusing on water and wastewater technologies, and one of the largest in its kind in Latin America.

Peru is the fourth largest country by population in South America, with a population of 33 million and a GDP of USD 204 billion. The country is Canada’s third largest bilateral trading partner in South and Central America (after Brazil and Chile). Peru’s current investment portfolio of PPPs and active projects amounts to USD 5.5 billion, of which USD 650 million are in water projects. Improving water and sanitation is critical to the 10.8 million inhabitants of the metropolitan area of Lima – the country’s capital that is located in the desert and relies on three river basins for the supply of potable water.

The mission program includes:

- a customized program of ten pre-approved business-to-business (one-on-one) meetings, per Ontario company, with potential private and public sector clients / partners from Peru;

- one-on-one consultation services in preparation for the mission; and

- a market preparedness and market intelligence seminar ahead of the mission, to provide participating companies with relevant business information on the market, and on water and wastewater trends and opportunities.

(All components of the mission will be delivered virtually).

Who should attend

Senior executives from Ontario export-ready companies that develop water and wastewater technology solutions for, among other, water sanitation, wastewater treatment, desalination, mining, agri-food, food processing, and infrastructure.
