The Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP) has released guidance on flushing strategies to restore a building’s water quality after an extended vacancy and before reopening to the public.
This guide is for building owners who are responsible for ensuring water quality within their building(s) and those individuals who are responsible for maintaining the internal plumbing systems to restore water quality prior to reopening the building(s) which have reduced use.
Utilities are encouraged to share this guidance document with building owners.
