You are invited to join two trade missions to Asia led by Ontario government.

 

1. Ontario Water Mission to Taiwan International Water Week(TIWW), September 18 to 22, 2023

2023 Taiwan International Water Week (September 20 to 22, 2023), will bring together Asian companies from the upstream, midstream, and downstream of water resources to exhibit their products and technologies. TIWW aims at the business opportunities of water recycling and circulation, and cooperates with international forums to start from the economic strategy development of the water resources industry. In addition to professional exhibitions, TIWW will include various activities such as new product technology presentations and business matchmaking meetings. There will be seminars to promote the industry-government-academic exchanges and accurately match the domestic and foreign suppliers and buyers via in person or online meetings.

 

Who should exhibit: Ontario companies on the sub sectors of water cycle and recycled water treatment, transportation storage and accessories, smart water technology, terminal Water purification and drinking water, fluid automation and control , water environment construction and surrounding service .

The Ontario’s water trade mission to TIWW will showcase of Ontario companies’ strengths and introduce Ontario water companies to potential customers as well as sales and distribution partners. It will build the participants' business partnerships and unlock new export markets in water industry across Asia.

2. Ontario Trade Mission to Built Environment Xpo Asia (BEX ASIA 2023, Sep 6-8, 2023, Singapore) and outreach program to Cebu and Manila, Philippines (Sep 11-12, 2023) 亚洲绿色建筑展

In partnership with Canadian Trade Commissioner Service in Singapore and Philippines, Ontario government will lead an in-person Building Product trade mission to attend the BEX Asia event with an optional post-trade mission to Philippines. The mission program will include market briefing, technical presentations, B2B meetings and networking reception to help Ontario SMEs who require in-market export assistance to develop business opportunities and meet potential customers, sales and channel distribution partners. Groups of professionals (VIP tours) will visit Ontario booth in accordance to their product interests during trade show. This mission will provide a good showcase of Ontario companies’ strengths in smart facility management, security & surveillance, smart construction, Internet of Things and smart city adoption, energy-efficient solutions in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing), HVAC, water, electrical, solar energy and Renewable Energy. It provides an opportunity to build business partnerships and unlock new export markets across Southeast Asia, increasing exports for Ontario companies.

BEX Asia is the region’s premiere market intelligence platform for the built environment.  BEX Asia 2022 attracted over 9,410 attendees from 48 countries join the event. Singapore

The industry is expected to register an annual average growth of 4.5% from 2023 to 2026, supported by a rise in the total value of contracts awarded for construction, coupled with

investments in transport, housing, renewable energy and manufacturing infrastructure projects.

 

Rest of Southeast Asia

Growth in the remaining ASEAN-5 markets are also forecast to be healthy with the market value predicted to reach a total of USD 343,905 billion in 2026. ASEAN countries recognize the contribution of the carbon impact of the built environment industry. Legislation that steers the sector towards increased energy efficiency and greener buildings in place in major ASEAN economies are creating a demand spurt for smart, green and energy efficient building solutions.

The ASEAN and Australia green buildings market size that was valued at USD15.3 billion in 2020 is expected to more than double to USD38.5 billion by 2030, a CAGR of 9.7% .

 

Philippine Infrastructure Flagship Projects (detail will be provided per your request)

Herein attached, as released by the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA)  the Philippine’s premier socioeconomic planning body, is the IFP list includes 194 projects totaling around CAD $ 225 Billion, the bulk of which are in irrigation, water supply and flood management.  It also includes projects in digital connectivity, health, power and energy, agriculture and infrastructure.  These projects may offer potential partnership / supply opportunities for Canadian companies.

The IFPs will adopt a mix of financing schemes from various development partners or Official Development Assistance (ODA), the national government or the General Appropriations Act (GAA), and the private sector through Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs).
