The Boards of Directors of the Ontario Water Works Association (OWWA) and the South Central Ontario Water Works Association (SCOWWA) are excited to announce that they have signed an affiliation agreement where SCOWWA will become a Regional Chapter of the OWWA.
SCOWWA has a long and successful history of providing a forum for water professionals in South Central Ontario to network, learn and engage with each other. Throughout this history, OWWA had provided a range of administrative services to assist with marketing the event and bring OWWA greetings to attendees. More recently, OWWA had worked with SCOWWA to host online registration system and on-site support.
Building on the success of these events, both groups recognized an opportunity to strengthen our partnership by forging a closer working relationship between our two organizations. The decision to become a Regional Chapter of OWWA is the result of months of discussions and deliberations and was not made lightly.
The Boards believe that this partnership will deliver substantial benefits to members in the South Central Ontario region, and will provide new opportunities for OWWA to engage with operators and service providers at the SCOWWA Conference.
Registration for the South Central Ontario Water Works Conference, scheduled for Wednesday April 5, 2023 at the Holiday Inn in St. Catharines is now open.
