Water Council (Great Lakes) Tech Challenge

The Water Council has launched its latest corporate-sponsored Tech Challenge and will be accepting global applications through May 8th. Corporate partners (A. O. Smith, Badger Meter, Watts Water and Xylem) are seeking innovative solutions for two spring topics.  Those include:

  • - Non-turbine Energy Harvesting for water distribution/collection systems
  • - Elimination of High OpEx Sludge Management Costs

Individuals, researchers, start-ups or existing businesses are eligible to apply for this opportunity. There is prize money of up to $10,000 and exposure to the sponsor companies’ R&D teams for other potential engagement pathways. Interested applicants need to register on the platform and submit an application to be considered.

Applicants are encouraged to contact Lindsay Patel (Lindsay.patel@ontario.ca) at the Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade when they have completed their submission.
