Call for Nominations - OWWA Board of Directors 2021-2024

The Ontario Water Works Association (OWWA) is now accepting nominations for candidates for the Board of Directors for the term beginning in 2021. Two (2) new Directors will be elected by the members and the results announced at the Annual General Meeting (AGM). Terms will begin immediately after the AGM, scheduled for May 3, 2021.

The following positions are available for nomination to the Board of Directors:

  • Two Directors to fill three-year terms (May 2021 to May 2024)


To be eligible for nomination, the individual must be a member in good standing with the OWWA, or be employed by an organization that is a full member for the 2020 calendar year. Nominees must be willing and able to perform the following functions as a member of the Board:

  • Attend Board meetings, the Annual conference and other events (to the best extent possible);
  • Act as Liaison Director to assigned committees;
  • Assume legal responsibility for the oversight of the financial management of the Association, and maintain fair and lawful policies regarding employees;
  • Prepare and present reports to the Board of Directors and membership, as required;
  • Be willing to be considered to be nominated and stand for the Executive Committee. If elected by the Board, the outgoing Director would serve four more years as Secretary-Treasurer, then Vice-President, then President, and then Past President.
