The Water Supply and Treatment Foreperson, under the direction of the Section Supervisor, is responsible for leading the daily operations, maintenance, and repair of the City of Barrie’s Surface or Ground Water Supply systems. This role ensures the safe, efficient, and continuous delivery of potable drinking water by overseeing system performance and addressing any operational issues. The Foreperson ensures all work complies with relevant drinking water legislation, the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act, and internal policies and procedures. Acting as the Overall Responsible Operator (ORO) when required, the Foreperson also supports and participates in water supply and treatment projects. This position plays a critical role in protecting the City's drinking water system from contamination and safeguarding public health.
