Supervisor – Water Distribution and Collection

Reporting to the Manager – Water and under the overall direction of the Executive Director – Infrastructure Services, the Supervisor – Distribution & Collection is responsible for the operation of Lakeshore’s Water Distribution & Wastewater Collection Subsystems. The Supervisor is responsible for compliance with all regulations under the Safe Drinking Water Act, the Occupational Health and Safety Act and any other governing regulations and legislation, operating policies, procedures, by-laws and principles of Lakeshore. The Supervisor is also responsible to manage the maintenance, scheduling and lifecycle renewal requirements of all Water Distribution & Wastewater Collection infrastructure. The Supervisor will also assist with the operation of the Water Treatment systems as required.

Some Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills required include:

·       Three (3) year Community College Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, or equivalent.

·       Must have current Ontario Class 3 Water Distribution & Class 2 Wastewater Collection Operator’s Certificates.

·       Certification for Water Treatment & Wastewater Treatment will be considered an asset.

·       3 to 5 years of experience in a supervisory position.

·       Knowledge of Ontario’s Drinking Water Quality Management Standard (DWQMS).

·       Familiarity with the Wonder ware suite of SCADA and Historian software

This position is new position. The Municipality utilizes an online questionnaire to screen applications. The annual salary is $108,430 to $126,817.
